Outstanding: Platinum DGNB certificate for the Twin Yards
The Twin Yards project was awarded with the platinum DGNB certificate in front of an international audience at Expo Real in Munich, Europe’s biggest trade fair for real estate and investment. This proves once again that the Rosa-Alscher Group’s properties are particularly sustainable and pioneering.
There are many certifications for sustainable building. The DGNB certification system, however, is regarded as unique in the industry: as a full-cycle, objective evaluation of individual buildings and districts, this certification is internationally valid. A decisive factor is the degree of fulfilment of the respective requirements: With an overall achievement rate of 80 percent, the Twin Yards boasts particularly high standards when it comes to ecological, economic, sociocultural, functional, technical, process and location oriented qualities.
DGNB presented the certification to the Rosa-Alscher Group, represented by its subsidiary Münchner Grund Immobilien Bauträger GmbH (a joint venture partner for the Twin Yards project), at Expo Real on October 4th, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the stand of UBM Development GmbH. “This extraordinary result shows once again that the trend-setting, future-oriented Rosa-Alscher group stands for innovative architecture and top construction quality,“ says Alexander Rosa-Alscher, CEO and founder of the Rosa-Alscher Group, about the platinum certification.
About the Twin Yards project
Since early 2016, the innovative Twin Yards office centre accommodates light-flooded office, administrative, retail spaces on seven overground floors. Several renowned companies moved to Parkstadt Schwabing since the building’s completion: The main tenant is the Europe-wide leading construction company, the PORR Group, which is headquartered in this state-of-the-art building.
Project development was clearly focused on sustainability. Warmth and comfort for building users were just as important for planning as the choice of construction and building services, particularly the choice of surfaces.
The Rosa-Alscher Group has also been benefiting from the advantages of the building’s sustainable planning since April 2016.
The quality of its exterior spaces with a high recreational value for users combined with the view of these designed exterior spaces create an attractive work environment. The optimised design of the wayfinding system, the security-optimised parking spaces and technical provisions ensure the highest level of security for its users.
The Rosa-Alscher Group – Münchener Grundbesitz Verwaltungs GmbH
The Rosa-Alscher Group has been shaping Munich’s cityscape with its projects for decades. The architectural office SAM as well as the SAM Plantech GmbH are part of the Group and responsible for the realisation of the projects. Distinctive architecture and top construction quality are paramount for the Group’s founder. Among the Rosa-Alscher Group’s notable references are the project developments for Neue Messe München-Riem, Arnulfpark, Ackermannbogen, and Parkstadt Schwabing. One of the more recent projects is the expansion building for University of Applied Sciences in Munich on Dachauer Straße.
The standard that was realised for the Twin Yards project is the model for further major projects, which are already in the Rosa-Alscher Group’s pipeline.
